Do it بالعربي
Co-curated by
Hoor Al Qasimi & Hans Ulrich Obrist
Do it in arabic is a call to action that invites individuals and communities to take part, to collaborate, to interpret, re-invent and generate ideas from artist instructions.
In the last two years, do it has been realised in 5 institutions; Sharjah Art Foundation (January – April 2016); Darat Al Funun, Amman (June–December 2016) presented all across its venues; Al Riwaq, Manama (July and November–December 2016) at Al Malja Red Bull, an arts space that supports emerging artists and at The Nest, an annual arts festival; Riwaq, Ramallah and other locations such as Jaba’ and Asira Ashimaliyah villages in Palestine (March–October 2017); and Townhouse, Cairo (July 2017), inviting artists, students and families to gather in their factory space and surrounding neighbourhood to activate a selection of artist instructions.
